KIDSmoov Building Stronger Champions Programme
(45 minutes weekly)
The KIDSmoov Building Stronger Champions programme is designed to cater to the growing physical development needs of primary school students, focusing on enhancing their gross motor skills, physical strength, flexibility, endurance and stamina. Children enjoy a wide range of activities and exercises to address various aspects of physical health which include:
- Introduction to movements that promote flexibility and coordination
- Flexibility and stretching exercises
- Core strength development to improve stability and balance
- Endurance challenges to build cardiovascular health
- Upper body strength using body weight and exercise bands
- Lower body strength exercises such as squats, lunges, bends, jumps and hops to build explosive power
- Speed and agility drills
The ‘Junior Champions’ programme is designed for Primary 1 and 2 students with a focus on fundamental movement skills like running, jumping, catching, and throwing to establish a strong base for more complex movements in the future. These weekly 45 minute sessions:
- Target motor skill development, improving hand-eye coordination, balance, and agility crucial for various physical activities.
- Encourage interaction and teamwork through group activities, enhancing social skills, communication, and cooperation.
- Stimulate cognitive growth by introducing rules and strategies for different games, fostering critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Provide a supportive environment where achievements and efforts are celebrated, boosting self-esteem and confidence.
The ‘Emerging Champions’ programme is tailored for students in Primary 3 and 4 and aims to refine existing skills while introducing more advanced techniques in sports and physical activities. Students enjoy 45 minute sessions which:
- Emphasise exercises and activities that enhance muscle strength, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness.
- Encourage healthy competition, teamwork, and good sportsmanship, fostering a sense of unity and collaboration.
- Promote goal setting and achievement, allowing children to experience the satisfaction of reaching personal milestones.
- Instil discipline and responsibility through adherence to rules, punctuality, and consistency in attendance and effort.
